Journal ArticleDOI

Periphytic biofilm: An innovative approach for biodegradation of microplastics.

TL;DR: It was observed that the addition of glucose enhanced the biodegradation of MPs by periphyton biofilm for all MPs after 60 days compared to natural biofilm alone, which might also be due to the change in the microbial community structures after addition of the C-sources.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of the biocontrol potential of Streptomyces goshikiensis YCXU against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. niveum

TL;DR: This study showed that S. goshikiensis YCXU could be a potential biocontrol agent for controlling watermelon Fusarium wilt disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative RNA-seq based transcriptomic analysis of bud dormancy in grape

TL;DR: In this article, the underlying molecular mechanisms involved in grape bud dormancy are not yet clear; however, the results obtained were then compared using two different databases; Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG), to annotate the transcript descriptions and assign a pathway to each transcript.
Journal ArticleDOI

Periphyton biofilms: A novel and natural biological system for the effective removal of sulphonated azo dye methyl orange by synergistic mechanism.

TL;DR: The results indicated that periphyton is a promising biomaterial for the complete removal of MO from wastewater and that the treatment process has the potential for in situ removal ofMO at contaminated sites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluating role of immobilized periphyton in bioremediation of azo dye amaranth.

TL;DR: The results showed the potential application of immobilized periphyton at industrial scale for the removal of azo dyes from wastewater containing azo dye amaranth.
