High spatial resolution mid-infrared spectroscopy of the starburst galaxies NGC 3256, II Zw 40 and Henize 2–10

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented N-band spectra (8-13 mu m) of some locations in three starburst galaxies, showing the two galactic nuclei of the spiral galaxy NGC 3256, the compact IR supernebula in the dwarf galaxy II Zw40 and the two brightest IR knots in the central starburst of the WR galaxy He 2-10.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spatially resolved near-infrared spectroscopy of the massive star-forming region IRAS 19410+2336

TL;DR: This work has also been partially funded by the Spanish MCyT under project AYA2004-07466 as discussed by the authors, and LB acknowledges support by the Chilean FONDAP Center of Astrophysics 15010003
Journal ArticleDOI

Spatially resolved near-infrared spectroscopy of the massive star-forming region IRAS 19410+2336

TL;DR: In this paper, spatially resolved NIR spectroscopy was used to verify whether the H2 emission detected in this object originates from thermal emission in shock fronts or from fluorescence excitation by non-ionizing UV photons.
Journal ArticleDOI

A mid-infrared study of H II regions in the Magellanic Clouds : N88 A and N160 A

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented mid-infrared spectra of two Magellanic Cloud H II regions, N88 A and N160 A, and compared them with the low-spatial resolution ISO-SWS data.
