Efficacy and safety of selective internal radiotherapy with yttrium-90 resin microspheres compared with sorafenib in locally advanced and inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma (SARAH): an open-label randomised controlled phase 3 trial
Valérie Vilgrain,Valérie Vilgrain,Helena Pereira,Eric Assenat,Boris Guiu,Alina Diana Ilonca,Georges-Philippe Pageaux,Annie Sibert,Mohamed Bouattour,Rachida Lebtahi,Wassim Allaham,Hélène Barraud,Valérie Laurent,Elodie Mathias,Jean-Pierre Bronowicki,Jean-Pierre Tasu,Rémy Perdrisot,Christine Silvain,René Gerolami,Olivier Mundler,Jean-François Seitz,Vincent Vidal,Christophe Aubé,Frédéric Oberti,Olivier Couturier,Isabelle Brenot-Rossi,Jean-Luc Raoul,Anthony Sarran,Charlotte Costentin,Emmanuel Itti,Alain Luciani,Alain Luciani,René Adam,Maïté Lewin,Didier Samuel,Maxime Ronot,Maxime Ronot,Aurelia Dinut,Laurent Castera,Laurent Castera,Gilles Chatellier,Gilles Chatellier,Elisabeth Delhom Christol,Alina D. TL;DR: SarAH was a multicentre, open-label, randomised, controlled, investigator-initiated, phase 3 trial done at 25 centres specialising in liver diseases in France to compare the efficacy and safety of sorafenib to that of selective internal radiotherapy in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Limited screening with versus without 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT for occult malignancy in unprovoked venous thromboembolism: an open-label randomised controlled trial
Philippe Robin,Pierre-Yves Le Roux,Benjamin Planquette,Sandrine Accassat,Sandrine Accassat,Pierre-Marie Roy,Francis Couturaud,Nadia Ghazzar,Nathalie Prevot-Bitot,Olivier Couturier,Aurélien Delluc,Olivier Sanchez,Bernard Tardy,Bernard Tardy,Grégoire Le Gal,Grégoire Le Gal,Pierre-Yves Salaun +16 more
TL;DR: A strategy including limited screening and a (18)F-FDG PET/CT was not associated with a significantly higher rate of cancer diagnosis after unprovoked venous thromboembolism and might be useful in a more selected population of patients with a high risk of cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predicting the risk of cancer after unprovoked venous thromboembolism: external validation of the RIETE score
Laurent Bertoletti,Philippe Robin,Luis Jara-Palomares,Cécile Tromeur,Jean Pastre,Nathalie Prevot-Bitot,T Mouneh,G. Le Gal,P-Y Salaun,Mvtep investigators +9 more
TL;DR: The RIETE score identifies a subgroup at high risk for cancer in patients classified as high‐risk, 10% of whom had cancer diagnosed in the MVTEP study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk factors of occult malignancy in patients with unprovoked venous thromboembolism.
Philippe Robin,Pierre-Yves Le Roux,Cécile Tromeur,Benjamin Planquette,Nathalie Prevot-Bitot,Christian Lavigne,Jean Pastre,Adel Merah,Francis Couturaud,Grégoire Le Gal,Pierre-Yves Salaun +10 more
TL;DR: Demographic characteristics (age and sex), and laboratory tests (high platelets and leukocytes counts) may be associated with cancer detection in patients with unprovoked VTE, a prospective, multicenter, randomized, controlled study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Additional testing following screening strategies for occult malignancy diagnosis in patients with unprovoked venous thromboembolism
Philippe Robin,Pierre-Yves Le Roux,Emmanuelle Le Moigne,Benjamin Planquette,Nathalie Prevot-Bitot,Pierre-Marie Roy,Jean Pastre,Adel Merah,Francis Couturaud,Grégoire Le Gal,Pierre-Yves Salaun +10 more
TL;DR: No statistical difference was found in the number of additional procedures following each screening strategy, however, a higher number of invasive tests were performed in the FDG PET/CT group than in the limited screening group.
