Plesovice zircon : A new natural reference material for U-Pb and Hf isotopic microanalysis
Jirri Slama,Jirri Slama,Jirri Slama,Jan Košler,Daniel J. Condon,James L. Crowley,Axel Gerdes,John M. Hanchar,Matthew S.A. Horstwood,George A. Morris,Lutz Nasdala,Nicholas Norberg,Urs Schaltegger,Blair Schoene,Michael Tubrett,Martin J. Whitehouse +15 more
TL;DR: The Plesovice zircon as discussed by the authors has a concordant U-Pb age with a weighted mean Pb-206/U-238 date of 337.13 +/- 0.37 Ma (ID-TIMS, 95% confidence limits, including tracer calibration uncertainty).
Journal ArticleDOI
Zircon M257 ‐ a Homogeneous Natural Reference Material for the Ion Microprobe U‐Pb Analysis of Zircon
Lutz Nasdala,Wolfgang Hofmeister,Nicholas Norberg,James M. Martinson,Fernando Corfu,Wolfgang Dörr,Sandra L. Kamo,Allen K. Kennedy,Andreas Kronz,Peter W. Reiners,Dirk Frei,Jan Košler,Yusheng Wan,Jens Götze,Tobias Häger,Alfred Kröner,John W. Valley +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a new reference material for the determination of zircon U-Pb ages by means of secondary ion mass spectrometry, namely Zircon M257.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microstructural evolution during experimental albitization of K-rich alkali feldspar
TL;DR: In this paper, K-feldspar in contact with highly concentrated aqueous NaCl solutions at 500°C and 200MPa is pseudomorphically replaced by high albite $$ (C\bar{1}) $$ as a result of an interface-coupled dissolution/reprecipitation process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Zircon M127 – A Homogeneous Reference Material for SIMS U–Pb Geochronology Combined with Hafnium, Oxygen and, Potentially, Lithium Isotope Analysis
Lutz Nasdala,Fernando Corfu,John W. Valley,Michael J. Spicuzza,Fu-Yuan Wu,Qiu-Li Li,Yue-Heng Yang,Christopher M. Fisher,Carsten Münker,Allen K. Kennedy,Peter W. Reiners,Andreas Kronz,Michael Wiedenbeck,Richard Wirth,Chutimun Chanmuang,Manuela Zeug,Tamás Váczi,Nicholas Norberg,Tobias Häger,Alfred Kröner,Wolfgang Hofmeister +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to use the SHRIMP at the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences (CAGS) for geosciences, Geography and Astronomy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental Na/K exchange between alkali feldspar and an NaCl–KCl salt melt: chemically induced fracturing and element partitioning
TL;DR: In this article, the exchange of Na+ and K+ between alkali feldspar and a NaCl-KCl salt melt has been investigated experimentally, and the critical stress needed to initiate fracturing in a general direction of the feld spar lattice was estimated at 0.35 GPa.
