Journal ArticleDOI

Attraction of the parasitoid Cotesia marginiventris to host (Spodoptera frugiperda) frass is affected by transgenic maize

TL;DR: The weakened response of C. marginiventris females to host frass derived from Bt maize in the context of plausible impacts of transgenic crop cultivars on parasitoid foraging and populations, and the implications for biological control of non-target, polyphagous pests, such as S. frugiperda are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

RNAi-Mediated Knockdown of Chitin Synthase 1 (CHS1) Gene Causes Mortality and Decreased Longevity and Fecundity in Aphis gossypii.

TL;DR: The results of current study confirm that CHS1 could be an appropriate candidate target gene for the RNAi-based control of cotton-melon aphids.
Journal ArticleDOI

Key aphid natural enemies showing positive effects on wheat yield through biocontrol services in northern China

TL;DR: Compared to previous studies conducted in northern China, the control efficiency of natural enemies has been greatly increased by coccinellids and parasitoid community in the absence of chrysopids and spiders.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lethal and social-mediated effects of ten insecticides on the subterranean termite Reticulitermes speratus

TL;DR: Abamectin was the most efficient insecticide on R. speratus, being highly toxic through fumigation, highly transferable among individuals, and preventing colony to expand through abamECTin-contaminated areas, and Ivermectin showed similar properties but lacked the latter.
