Journal ArticleDOI
Systemic increase of oxidative nucleic acid damage in Parkinson's disease and multiple system atrophy.
Akio Kikuchi,Atsushi Takeda,Hiroshi Onodera,Teiko Kimpara,Kinya Hisanaga,Nobuyuki Sato,Akihiko Nunomura,Rudy J. Castellani,George Perry,Mark A. Smith,Yasuto Itoyama +10 more
TL;DR: The data presented here suggest that systemic DNA/RNA oxidation is commonly observed in neurodegenerative diseases and implies that female patients with PD show higher levels of oxidative stress, which may explain the faster progression of this disease in females.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neuro-Sweet Disease: Benign Recurrent Encephalitis With Neutrophilic Dermatosis
TL;DR: It is proposed that there is an entity that is like Sweet disease, but with recurrent encephalitis characterized by an association with HLA-B54 and a high responsiveness to corticosteroid therapy, which is tentatively named neuro-Sweet disease, that is distinct from the classic central nervous system involvement of Behçet disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
A prospective study of surgical procedures for patients with oligometastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
Chiaki Endo,Tohru Hasumi,Yuji Matsumura,Nobuyuki Sato,Hiroyuki Deguchi,Hiroyuki Oizumi,Motoyasu Sagawa,Takao Tsushima,Satomi Takahashi,Jotaro Shibuya,Masahide Hirose,Takashi Kondo +11 more
TL;DR: Clinical T1-2N0-1 lung cancer with a single-organ metastatic lesion was a good candidate for surgical resection, and a 5-year survival rate could be comparable with that for stage II non-small cell lung cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Highly efficient operation of space harmonic peniotron at cyclotron high harmonics
TL;DR: In this paper, the oscillation characteristics of cyclotron high-harmonic peniotrons based on space harmonic interactions in magnetron waveguide resonators were described and the experimental results showed extremely high electronic efficiencies of 75% and 6% at 30 and 100 GHz, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Combined analysis of cyclooxygenase-2 expression with p53 and Ki-67 in nonsmall cell lung cancer.
Hiroyoshi Tsubochi,Nobuyuki Sato,Misae Hiyama,Mitsuomi Kaimori,Shunsuke Endo,Yasunori Sohara,Tadashi Imai +6 more
TL;DR: Findings indicate that combined immunohistochemical analysis of COX-2 with p53 and Ki-67 can be useful for identifying the prognosis of NSCLC patients.
