Journal ArticleDOI
Human Catechol-O-Methyltransferase Haplotypes Modulate Protein Expression by Altering mRNA Secondary Structure
Andrea G. Nackley,Svetlana A. Shabalina,Inna E. Tchivileva,K. Satterfield,O. Korchynskyi,Sergei S. Makarov,William Maixner,Luda Diatchenko +7 more
TL;DR: The major COMT haplotypes varied with respect to messenger RNA local stem-loop structures, such that the most stable structure was associated with the lowest protein levels and enzymatic activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mammalian Glycosylation Patterns Protect Citrullinated Chemokine MCP-1/CCL2 from Partial Degradation
O. Korchynskyi,Ken Yoshida,Nataliia Korchynska,Justyna Czarnik-Kwaśniak,Paul P. Tak,Ger J. M. Pruijn,Takeo Isozaki,Jeffrey H. Ruth,Phillip L. Campbell,M. Asif Amin,Alisa E. Koch +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , both commercially available and recombinant bacterially produced MCP-1/CCL2 are rapidly degraded upon in vitro citrullination, however, properly glycosylated MCP1/CL2 produced by mammalian cells is protected against degradation during efficient citrulloination.
Journal ArticleDOI
LncCDH5-3:3 Regulates Apoptosis, Proliferation, and Aggressiveness in Human Lung Cancer Cells
Konrad Kwaśniak,Justyna Czarnik-Kwaśniak,Khrystyna Malysheva,Katarzyna Pogoda,O. Korchynskyi,Paweł Rybojad,Bożenna Karczmarek-Borowska,Jacek Tabarkiewicz +7 more
TL;DR: The results support the idea that lncCDH5-3:3 is probably involved in the oncogenesis of NSCLC through the regulation of apoptosis and tumor cell metastasis formation.
