Real-world assessment of vehicle air pollutant emissions subset by vehicle type, fuel and EURO class: New findings from the recent UK EDAR field campaigns, and implications for emissions restricted zones.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report upon and analyze vehicle emissions measured by the Emissions Detecting and Reporting (EDAR) system, a Vehicle Emissions Remote Sensing System (VERSS) type device, used in five UK based field campaigns in 2016 and 2017.
Journal ArticleDOI

A high-resolution spatial and temporal on-road vehicle emission inventory in an Iranian metropolitan area, Isfahan, based on detailed hourly traffic data

TL;DR: In this article, the International Vehicle Emission (IVE) model was used to estimate the motor vehicle emission factors (EFs) in different areas of Isfahan, and the results showed that EFs of all pollutants emitted from vehicle exhausts usually decrease with vehicle speed.
Journal ArticleDOI

How does unsustainable urbanization affect driving behavior and vehicular emissions? Evidence from Iran

TL;DR: In this paper, a practical approach comprising of model estimation and real-world measurements is applied to discuss the role of urban development and public culture in the driving behavior and vehicle emissions in an unsustainable urbanized city, i.e. Isfahan, Iran.
Journal ArticleDOI

Short-term effects of anthropogenic/natural activities on the Tehran criteria air pollutants: Source apportionment and spatiotemporal variation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors applied a somewhat new approach to address the data missing issue of the detailed air monitoring dataset of Tehran 2018 (hourly data of over 15 monitoring sites) and to study the short-term effects of anthropogenic/natural activities on the criteria air pollutants (CAP) in the urban and rural areas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Real-World Contribution of Electrification and Replacement Scenarios to the Fleet Emissions in West Midland Boroughs, UK

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report the likely real-world effects of fleet replacement with electric vehicles (EVs) and higher efficiency EURO 6 vehicles on the exhaustive emissions of NOx, PM, and CO2 in the seven boroughs of the West Midlands (WM) region, UK.
