Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental investigation on compression ignition engine powered with pentanol and thevetia peruviana methyl ester under reactivity controlled compression ignition mode of operation
P.A. Harari,N.R. Banapurmath,V.S. Yaliwal,Manzoore Elahi M. Soudagar,T. M. Yunus Khan,M.A. Mujtaba,Mohammad Reza Safaei,Naveed Akram,Marjan Goodarzi,Marjan Goodarzi,Ashraf Elfasakhany,Ahmed I. EL-Seesy +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of pentanol as low reactive fuel (LRF) along with diesel and Thevetia peruviana methyl ester (TPME) as high reactive fuels (HRF) in reactivity controlled compression ignition (RCCI) engine was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of injection timing on the performance of Ceiba Pentandra biodiesel powered dual fuel engine
Prajwal Gaddigoudar,Nagaraj R. Banapurmath,Y.H. Basavarajappa,V.S. Yaliwal,P.A. Harari,K.M. Nataraja +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect injection timing (IT) on the modified dual fuel (DF) engine performance with effective utilization of biodiesel and gaseous fuel combinations is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of CNG and CBG as low reactivity fuels along with diesel and TPME as high reactivity fuels in RCCI mode of combustion by varying different loads
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of load extension in reactivity controlled compression ignition (RCCI) mode of combustion was studied. And the results showed that RCCI engine operated at 75% load gives higher brake thermal efficiency (BTE) about 29.74% and higher nitric oxide (NOx) emissions along with lower carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC) and smoke emissions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance and emission characteristics of a diesel engine operated on diverse modes using renewable and sustainable fuels derived from dairy scum and municipal solid waste
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of producer gas and dairy scum oil methyl ester (DiSOME) on the thermal efficiency and emission character of a compression ignition engine under dual and HCCI mode has been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of MWCNTs nano-additive on a dual-fuel engine characteristics utilizing dairy scum oil methyl ester and producer gas
K Sateesh,V.S. Yaliwal,N. R. Banapurmath,Manzoore Elahi M. Soudagar,T. M. Yunus Khan,P.A. Harari,Ahmed El-Shafay,M.A. Mujtaba,Ashraf Elfaskhany,M.A. Kalam +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the steadiness characteristics of nanoparticle-mixed biodiesel fuels were studied under static state and the effect of nanofluids on the attributes of combustion and emissions of a 1-cylinder 4-stroke DI-direct injection (CI-compression ignition) engine with DF-dual-fuel mode using DiSOME and PG-producer gas.
