Definition of the Flexible Image Transport System (FITS)
Robert J. Hanisch,A. Farris,Eric W. Greisen,W. D. Pence,B. M. Schlesinger,P. Teuben,R. W. Thompson,A. Warnock +7 more
TL;DR: The Flexible Image Transport System (FITS) has been in use in the astronomical community for over two decades as mentioned in this paper and a newly updated version of the standard has recently been approved by the International Astronomical Union FITS Working Group.
Journal ArticleDOI
Millimeter to X-ray flares from Sagittarius A*
Andreas Eckart,Andreas Eckart,Macarena Garcia-Marin,Stuart N. Vogel,P. Teuben,Mark Morris,Frederick K. Baganoff,Jason Dexter,Jason Dexter,Rainer Schödel,Gunther Witzel,Monica Valencia-S.,Monica Valencia-S.,Vladimír Karas,D. Kunneriath,Christian Straubmeier,Lydia Moser,Nadeen B. Sabha,R. M. Buchholz,Mohammad Zamaninasab,Koraljka Mužić,J. Moultaka,J. A. Zensus +22 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on new simultaneous observations and modeling of the millimeter, near-infrared, and X-ray flare emission of the source Sagittarius A* (SgrA*) associated with the supermassive (4.5 ǫ ) black hole at the Galactic center.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coordinated NIR/mm observations of flare emission from Sagittarius A*
Devaky Kunneriath,Devaky Kunneriath,Gunther Witzel,Andreas Eckart,Andreas Eckart,Mohammad Zamaninasab,Mohammad Zamaninasab,R. Gießübel,R. Gießübel,Rainer Schödel,Frederick K. Baganoff,Mark Morris,Michal Dovciak,Wolfgang J. Duschl,Wolfgang J. Duschl,Macarena Garcia-Marin,Vladimir Karas,Sabine König,Thomas P. Krichbaum,Melanie Krips,R. S. Lu,R. S. Lu,Jon C. Mauerhan,J. Zensus,J. A. Zensus +37 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a mm/sub-mm light curve of SgrA* with one of the highest quality continuous time coverages, based on simultaneous observations carried out in May 2007 and 2008, using the NACO adaptive optics (AO) instrument at the ESO's VLT and the mm telescope arrays CARMA in California, ATCA in Australia, and the 30 m IRAM telescope in Spain.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Galactic centre mini-spiral in the mm-regime
Devaky Kunneriath,Devaky Kunneriath,Devaky Kunneriath,Andreas Eckart,Andreas Eckart,Stuart N. Vogel,P. Teuben,Koraljka Mužić,Rainer Schödel,Macarena Garcia-Marin,J. Moultaka,Johannes Staguhn,Johannes Staguhn,Johannes Staguhn,Christian Straubmeier,J. A. Zensus,J. A. Zensus,Monica Valencia-S.,Monica Valencia-S.,Vladimir Karas +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors constrain the emission mechanisms and physical properties of the ionized gas and dust of the mini-spiral region with the help of multi-wavelength data sets.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Galactic centre mini-spiral in the mm-regime
D. Kunneriath,Andreas Eckart,Stuart N. Vogel,P. Teuben,Koraljka Muzic,Rainer Schoedel,M. Garcia-Marin,J. Moultaka,Johannes Staguhn,Christian Straubmeier,J. A. Zensus,M. Valencia-S.,Vladimír Karas +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors constrain the emission mechanisms and physical properties of the ionized gas and dust of the mini-spiral region with the help of multi-wavelength data sets, and obtain a spectral index of 0.5 for Sgr A*, indicating an inverted synchrotron spectrum.
