TL;DR: The first complete genome reported to date of a clinical isolate of this subspecies harboring both class A beta-lactamases KPC-2 and OKP-B-6 from South America is presented and contributes to the description of the characteristics of a novel K. similip pneumoniae strain circulating in South America that currently represent a serious potential risk for nosocomial settings.

Assessing the nationwide impact of COVID-19 mitigation policies on the transmission rate of SARS-CoV-2 in Brazil

TL;DR: The results show that population adherence to social distance recommendations plays an important role for the effectiveness of interventions, and represents a major challenge to the control of COVID-19 in low- and middle-income countries.
