Association of Clinical Symptomatic Hypoglycemia With Cardiovascular Events and Total Mortality in Type 2 Diabetes: A nationwide population-based study
Pai Feng Hsu,Shih Hsien Sung,Shih Hsien Sung,Hao Min Cheng,Hao Min Cheng,Hao Min Cheng,Jong Shiuan Yeh,Wen Ling Liu,Wan Leong Chan,Chen Huan Chen,Pesus Chou,Shao Yuan Chuang +11 more
TL;DR: In multivariate Cox regression models, including diabetes treatment adjustment, diabetic patients with hypoglycemia had a significantly higher risk of cardiovascular events during clinical treatment periods, including stroke, coronary heart disease, cardiovascular diseases, and all-cause hospitalization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systemic immune‐inflammation index (SII) predicted clinical outcome in patients with coronary artery disease
Ya Ling Yang,Cheng Hsueh Wu,Pai Feng Hsu,Su Chan Chen,Shao Sung Huang,Wan Leong Chan,Shing Jong Lin,Chia Yu Chou,Jaw Wen Chen,Ju Pin Pan,Min Ji Charng,Ying Hwa Chen,Tao Cheng Wu,Tse Min Lu,Po Hsun Huang,Hao Min Cheng,Chin Chou Huang,Chin Chou Huang,Shih Hsien Sung,Yenn Jiang Lin,Hsin Bang Leu +20 more
TL;DR: This study examines the predictive value of a novel systemic immune‐inflammation index (SII, platelet × neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio) in coronary artery disease patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic Nutritional Index and the Risk of Mortality in Patients With Acute Heart Failure
Yu Lun Cheng,Shih Hsien Sung,Hao Min Cheng,Pai Feng Hsu,Chao-Yu Guo,Wen Chung Yu,Wen Chung Yu,Chen Huan Chen +7 more
TL;DR: In subgroup analyses stratified by age, sex, left ventricular ejection fraction, body mass index, or estimated glomerular filtration rate, PNI was consistently related to mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kuang-Hui Yu,Der-Yuan Chen,Der-Yuan Chen,Jiunn-Horng Chen,Shih-Yang Chen,Shyh-Ming Chen,Tien-Tsai Cheng,Song-Chou Hsieh,Tsu-Yi Hsieh,Pai Feng Hsu,Pai Feng Hsu,Chang-Fu Kuo,Mei-Chuan Kuo,Hing-Chung Lam,I-Te Lee,Toong-Hua Liang,Hsiao-Yi Lin,Shih-Chang Lin,Wen-Pin Tsai,Gregory J. Tsay,James Cheng-Chung Wei,James Cheng-Chung Wei,Chung-Han Yang,Wen-Chan Tsai +23 more
TL;DR: To prevent acute arthritis attacks and complications, earlier use of pharmacotherapeutic treatment should be considered, and patients with hyperuricemia and previous episodes of acute gouty arthritis should receive long‐term urate‐lowering treatment.
