Mid-infrared supercontinuum generation in chalcogenides
Yi Yu,Xin Gai,Ting Wang,Pan Ma,Rongping Wang,Zhiyong Yang,Duk-Yong Choi,Steve Madden,Barry Luther-Davies +8 more
TL;DR: Yu et al. as mentioned in this paper acknowledge the financial support from the China Scholarship Council for their PhD in computer vision and acknowledge the support of the ARC DECRA project for Ultrahigh Bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems (CE110001018).
Journal ArticleDOI
A broadband, quasi‐continuous, mid‐infrared supercontinuum generated in a chalcogenide glass waveguide
Yi Yu,Xin Gai,Pan Ma,Duk-Yong Choi,Zhiyong Yang,Rongping Wang,Sukanta Debbarma,Stephen J. Madden,Barry Luther-Davies +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a broadband supercontinuum spanning from 1.8 μm to >7.5 μm is reported which was created by pumping a chalcogenide glass waveguide with ≈320fs pulses at 4 μm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-loss chalcogenide waveguides for chemical sensing in the mid-infrared
Pan Ma,Duk-Yong Choi,Yi Yu,Xin Gai,Zhiyong Yang,Sukanta Debbarma,Steve Madden,Barry Luther-Davies +7 more
TL;DR: The basic capabilities of low-loss chalcogenide waveguides for spectroscopy were demonstrated by measuring the absorption spectrum of soluble Prussian blue in Dimethyl Sulphoxide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mid-infrared octave spanning supercontinuum generation to 8.5 μm in silicon-germanium waveguides
Milan Sinobad,Christelle Monat,Barry Luther-Davies,Pan Ma,Stephen J. Madden,David J. Moss,Arnan Mitchell,David Allioux,Regis Orobtchouk,Salim Boutami,Jean-Michel Hartmann,Jean-Marc Fedeli,Christian Grillet +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report supercontinuum generation in an air-clad $Si 0.6}$$Ge 0.4}$/Si waveguide that emits a broad spectrum spanning from 3.0 μm to 8.5 μm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental demonstration of linearly polarized 2-10 μm supercontinuum generation in a chalcogenide rib waveguide.
Yi Yu,Xin Gai,Pan Ma,Khu Vu,Zhiyong Yang,Rongping Wang,Duk-Yong Choi,Steve Madden,Barry Luther-Davies +8 more
TL;DR: This Letter reports the production of a supercontinuum extending from ≈2 μm to >10μm generated using a chalcogenide buried rib waveguide pumped with 330 femtosecond pulses at 4.184 μm, which is, to the best of the authors' knowledge, the broadest mid-infraredsupercontinuum generated in any planar waveguide platform.
