Journal ArticleDOI
The Severity of Dependence Scale (SDS): psychometric properties of the SDS in English and Australian samples of heroin, cocaine and amphetamine users.
TL;DR: The SDS satisfies a number of criteria which indicate its suitability as a measure of dependence, and shows criterion validity in that drug users who have sought treatment at specialist and non-specialist agencies for drug problems have higher SDS scores than non-treatment samples.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Wastewater analysis performed across Europe provides complementary evidence on illicit drug consumption and generally concurs with traditional surveillance data, where available.
Journal ArticleDOI
Severity of dependence and route of administration of heroin, cocaine and amphetamines
TL;DR: Severity of dependence was correlated with dose and duration of drug use; it was also associated with previous attendance at a drug treatment agency, though dependence problems were also common among heroin users who had never received treatment.
