Meningoencefalite em bovinos causada por herpesvírus bovino-5 no Mato Grosso do Sul e São Paulo
Sandro Cesar Salvador,Ricardo A.A. Lemos,Franklin Riet-Correa,Paulo Michel Roehe,Ana Luiza Alves Rosa Osório +4 more
TL;DR: Outbreaks of infection by BHV-5 represent 5% of the total number of bovine cases submitted for diagnosis to the Clinical Hospital of the University of Mato Grosso do Sul and the need for its differentiation from other diseases which affect the nervous system is indicated.

TL;DR: Two full-genome sequences of porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) are reported, recovered from pooled serum samples from sows who had just delivered litters with variable numbers of stillbirths.
Journal ArticleDOI
Restriction endonuclease and monoclonal antibody analysis of Brazilian isolates of bovine herpesviruses types 1 and 5.
Regina Celia Freitas d'Arce,Renata Servan de Almeida,Tamir Calcagnotto da Silva,Ana Cláudia Franco,Fernando Rosado Spilki,Paulo Michel Roehe,Clarice Weis Arns +6 more
TL;DR: Twelve Brazilian isolates and three reference strains of bovine herpesviruses were subjected to restriction endonuclease analysis (REA) and monoclonal antibody (MAb) analysis, which allowed the differentiation between types 1 and 5 viruses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Discovery of a genome of a distant relative of chicken anemia virus reveals a new member of the genus Gyrovirus
Franciscus Antonius Maria Rijsewijk,Helton Fernandes dos Santos,Thais Fumaco Teixeira,Samuel Paulo Cibulski,Ana Paula Muterle Varela,Diogenes Dezen,Ana Cláudia Franco,Paulo Michel Roehe +7 more
TL;DR: A 2.4-kb phi29 polymerase amplification product from serum of a diseased chicken was cloned and sequenced, showing limited similarities to a representative genome of chicken anemia virus, and it is proposed that the newly identified virus is a new species in the genus Gyrovirus.
