Dependence of the Elastic Moduli of Skutterudites on Density and Temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the dependency of Young's and shear modulus on relative density and temperature was determined for three series of skutterudites: p-type MmyFe3CoSb12 (y = 0.70, 0.80), n-type DDyFe3CSb 12 (y= 0.65,0.68).
Journal ArticleDOI

Heat capacity of (R1−xPrx)Ba2Cu3O7 (R=Y, Gd)

TL;DR: In this paper, specific heat measurements of (R, Pr)Ba 2 Cu 3 O 7 (R=Y, Gd) in external fields up to 11 T were presented and analyzed in terms of crystalline electric field (CEF) effects and indicate that in these systems Pr appears to be trivalent rather than tetravalent.
Journal ArticleDOI

REMn2Si2 (RE=Y, Tb, Dy, Ho) Single Crystals Grown from Lead Flux and Magnetic Properties.

TL;DR: In this paper, single crystals of REMn2Si2 (RE=Y, Tb, Dy, Ho) were grown from a high-temperature lead metal flux by slowly cooling the melt in an argon atmosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of magnetic order in RE6Fe13X (RE=Nd, Pr; X=Pd, Sn, Si)

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic structure of RE6Fe13X (RE=Nd, Pr; X=Pd, Sn, Si) compounds cannot be explained by the same simple collinear alignment of antiferromagnetic moments, as proposed from n-diffraction investigations for the zero-field magnetic order of X=Sn, Si.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the magnetic, electrical and thermodynamic properties of Ce3NiGe2

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the magnetic properties of CoNiGe2 by means of DC and AC magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, electrical resistivity, magnetoresistivity and specific heat measurements.
