Glacier and climate reconstruction at Tres Lagunas, NW Argentina, based on 10Be surface exposure dating and lake sediment analyses
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented 35 10 Be surface exposure ages from quartzite moraine boulders at Tres Lagunas in the Sierra de Santa Victoria, NW Argentina.
Journal ArticleDOI
In-phase anomalies in Beryllium-10 production and palaeomagnetic field behaviour during the Iceland Basin geomagnetic excursion
TL;DR: This article investigated the relative timing of variations in 10Be production rate and the corresponding palaeomagnetic signal during one of the largest Pleistocene excursions, the Iceland Basin (IB) event (ca. 190 kyr), as recorded in two marine sediment cores (ODP Sites 1063 and 983) with high sedimentation rates.
Journal ArticleDOI
A re-evaluation of the 0–10 ka 10Be production rate for exposure dating obtained from the Köfels (Austria) landslide
Peter W. Kubik,Susan Ivy-Ochs +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the sea level, high latitude 10Be production rate for exposure dating obtained from the giant 9.8 ka landslide of Kofels (Austria) has been calculated based on a re-assessment of the contribution of the muonic cosmic ray component.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inner gorges cut by subglacial meltwater during Fennoscandian ice sheet decay
John D. Jansen,Alexandru T. Codilean,Arjen P. Stroeven,Derek Fabel,Clas Hättestrand,Johan Kleman,Jon Harbor,Jakob Heyman,Peter W. Kubik,Sheng Xu +9 more
TL;DR: It is deduced that inner gorges are the product of ice sheets undergoing intense surface melting, which implicates subglacial meltwater as a key driver of valley deepening on the Baltic Shield over multiple glacial cycles.
