Pancreatectomy With Arterial Resection for Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma: How Can It Be Done Safely and With Which Outcomes?: A Single Institution's Experience With 118 Patients
TL;DR: In a specialized setting, P-AR for locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma can be performed safely with limited mortality and morbidity and negative resection margin and the absence of associated venous invasion might predict favorable long-term outcomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
First and repeat resection of colorectal liver metastases in elderly patients.
TL;DR: First and repeat liver resection for colorectal liver metastases can be performed safely in patients older than 70 years and a 5-year survival rate similar to those of younger patients can be expected.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outcome after pancreaticoduodenectomy for cancer in elderly patients.
TL;DR: In elderly patients, age does not seem to influence the postoperative outcome after pancreaticoduodenectomy with pancreatogastrostomy, and survival was significantly influenced by the pathological type of the tumor, with worse results for patients with ductal pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
The postbinding activity of scavenger receptor class B type I mediates initiation of hepatitis C virus infection and viral dissemination

TL;DR: A novel class of anti–SR‐BI monoclonal antibodies that interfere with postbinding steps during the HCV entry process without interfering with HCV particle binding to the target cell surface are generated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pancreatectomy for adenocarcinoma in elderly patients: postoperative outcomes and long term results: a study of the French Surgical Association.
Olivier Turrini,François Paye,Philippe Bachellier,Alain Sauvanet,A. Sa Cunha,Y.P. Le Treut,Mustapha Adham,J.-Y. Mabrut,Laurence Chiche,J.R. Delpero +9 more
TL;DR: Fit elderly patients with resectable PAs should not be excluded from surgical resection of PA solely because of their real age, and elderly patients seem to obtain similar advantages from pancreatectomies than younger patients.
