Complete Cytoreductive Surgery Plus Intraperitoneal Chemohyperthermia With Oxaliplatin for Peritoneal Carcinomatosis of Colorectal Origin
Dominique Elias,Jérémie H. Lefevre,Julie Chevalier,Antoine Brouquet,Frédéric Marchal,Jean-Marc Classe,Gwenael Ferron,Jean-Marc Guilloit,Pierre Meeus,Diane Goéré,Julia Bonastre +10 more
TL;DR: Patients with isolated, resectable PC achieve a median survival of 24 months with modern chemotherapies, but only surgical cytoreduction plus HIPEC is able to prolong median survival to roughly 63 months, with a 5-year survival rate of 51%.
Journal ArticleDOI
Peritoneal carcinomatosis treated with cytoreductive surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) for advanced ovarian carcinoma: A French multicentre retrospective cohort study of 566 patients.
Naoual Bakrin,J.M. Bereder,Evelyne Decullier,Jean-Marc Classe,Simon Msika,Gérard Lorimier,Karine Abboud,Pierre Meeus,Gwenael Ferron,François Quenet,Frédéric Marchal,Sebastien Gouy,Philippe Morice,Christophe Pomel,Marc Pocard,Frédéric Guyon,Jack Porcheron,Olivier Glehen +17 more
TL;DR: For advanced and recurrent EOC, curative therapeutic approach combining optimal CRS and HIPEC should be considered as it may achieve long-term survival in patients with a severe prognosis disease, even in patientsWith chemoresistant disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of core needle biopsy as a substitute to open biopsy in the diagnosis of soft-tissue masses.
I.L. Ray-Coquard,Dominique Ranchère-Vince,Philippe Thiesse,Herve Ghesquieres,Pierre Biron,Marie-Pierre Sunyach,M. Rivoire,L. Lancry,Pierre Meeus,Catherine Sebban,J.-Y. Blay +10 more
TL;DR: Core needle biopsy is accurate, not misleading for s-t-M diagnosis, avoids open biopsy complications, and allows one-surgery or neo-adjuvant chemotherapy planning when combined with appropriate imaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Survival Benefit of the Surgical Management of Retroperitoneal Sarcoma in a Reference Center: A Nationwide Study of the French Sarcoma Group from the NetSarc Database.
S. Bonvalot,E Gaignard,E. Stoeckle,Pierre Meeus,Gauthier Decanter,S. Carrere,Charles Honoré,Jean-Baptiste Delhorme,M. Fau,D Tzanis,Sylvain Causeret,P Gimbergues,J M Guillois,Bernard Meunier,A. Le Cesne,Françoise Ducimetière,Maud Toulmonde,J.-Y. Blay +17 more
TL;DR: In this national study, surgery for primary RPS within an NSC was associated with a better OS, and was an independent predictor of OS, with a twofold lower odds ratio of death.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffuse malignant peritoneal mesothelioma: Evaluation of systemic chemotherapy with comprehensive treatment through the RENAPE Database: Multi-Institutional Retrospective Study
Vahan Kepenekian,Dominique Elias,Guillaume Passot,Eliane Mery,Diane Goéré,D. Delroeux,François Quenet,G. Ferron,Denis Pezet,Jean-Marc Guilloit,Pierre Meeus,Marc Pocard,J.M. Verriele,Philippe Zerbib,Franck Zinzindohoué +57 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the impact of perioperative systemic chemotherapy strategies on survival and postoperative outcomes in patients with DMPM treated with curative intent with CRS-HIPEC, using a multi-institutional database: the French RENAPE network.
