Hybrid Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy for Esophageal Cancer
Christophe Mariette,Sheraz R. Markar,Tienhan S. Dabakuyo-Yonli,Bernard Meunier,Denis Pezet,Denis Collet,Xavier B. D’Journo,Cécile Brigand,Thierry Perniceni,Nicolas Carrere,Jean-Yves Mabrut,Simon Msika,Frédérique Peschaud,Michel Prudhomme,Franck Bonnetain,Guillaume Piessen +15 more
TL;DR: It is found that hybrid minimally invasive esophagectomy resulted in a lower incidence of intraoperative and postoperative major complications, specifically pulmonary complications, than open esophageal cancer, without compromising overall and disease‐free survival over a period of 3 years.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cytoreductive surgery plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy versus cytoreductive surgery alone for colorectal peritoneal metastases (PRODIGE 7): a multicentre, randomised, open-label, phase 3 trial.
François Quenet,Dominique Elias,Lise Roca,Diane Goéré,Laurent Ghouti,Marc Pocard,Olivier Facy,Catherine Arvieux,Gérard Lorimier,Denis Pezet,Frédéric Marchal,Valeria Loi,Pierre Meeus,Beata Juzyna,Hélène de Forges,Jacques Paineau,Olivier Glehen,Pascale Mariani,Cécile Brigand,J.M. Bereder,Simon Msika,Guillaume Portier,Patrick Rat +22 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the specific benefit of adding hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) to cytoreductive surgery compared with receiving cytoreduction surgery alone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Guidelines for management of intra-abdominal infections
Philippe Montravers,Hervé Dupont,Marc Leone,Jean-Michel Constantin,Paul-Michel Mertes,Société française d'anesthésie et de réanimation,Pierre-François Laterre,Benoit Misset,Jean-Pierre Bru,Rémy Gauzit,Albert Sotto,Cécile Brigand,Antoine Hamy,Société française de chirurgie digestive,Jean-Jacques Tuech +14 more
TL;DR: The CPGs for peritonitis are based on a consensus between the various disciplines involved in the management of these patients concerning a number of themes such as: diagnostic strategy and the place of imaging; time to management; the Place of microbiological specimens; targets of empirical anti-infective therapy; duration of anti- Infective therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Impact of Severe Anastomotic Leak on Long-term Survival and Cancer Recurrence After Surgical Resection for Esophageal Malignancy.
Sheraz R. Markar,Caroline Gronnier,Alain Duhamel,Jean-Yves Mabrut,Jean-Pierre Bail,Nicolas Carrere,Jérémie H. Lefevre,Cécile Brigand,Jean-Christophe Vaillant,Mustapha Adham,Simon Msika,Nicolas Demartines,Issam El Nakadi,Bernard Meunier,Denis Collet,Christophe Mariette +15 more
TL;DR: This large multicenter study provides strong evidence that SEAL adversely impacts cancer prognosis and the mechanism through which SEAL increases local recurrence is an important area for future research.
Journal ArticleDOI
Open versus laparoscopically-assisted oesophagectomy for cancer: a multicentre randomised controlled phase III trial - the MIRO trial
N. Briez,Guillaume Piessen,Franck Bonnetain,Cécile Brigand,Nicolas Carrere,Denis Collet,Christophe Doddoli,Renaud Flamein,Jean-Yves Mabrut,Bernard Meunier,Simon Msika,Thierry Perniceni,Frédérique Peschaud,Michel Prudhomme,Jean-Pierre Triboulet,Christophe Mariette +15 more
TL;DR: It is hypothesise that the laparoscopic abdominal approach (laparoscopic gastric mobilisation) in oesophageal cancer surgery will decrease the major postoperative complication rate due to the reduced surgical trauma, and represents the first randomised controlled phase III trial to evaluate the benefits of the minimally invasive approach.
