TL;DR: It is reported that malignant pleural mesothelioma cells robustly express STING and are responsive to STING agonist treatment ex vivo, and the fundamental importance of using human tumor samples to assess innate and cellular immune therapies is revealed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Extensive androgen receptor enhancer heterogeneity in primary prostate cancers underlies transcriptional diversity and metastatic potential
Jeroen Kneppers,Tesa M. Severson,Joseph C. Siefert,Pieter J Schol,Stacey E. P. Joosten,Ivan Pak Lok Yu,Chia Chi Flora Huang,Tunç Morova,Umut Berkay Altintas,Claudia Giambartolomei,Ji-Heui Seo,Sylvan C. Baca,Isa Carneiro,Eldon Emberly,Bogdan Pasaniuc,Carmen Jerónimo,Rui Henrique,Matthew L. Freedman,Lodewyk F. A. Wessels,Nathan A. Lack,Andries M. Bergman,Wilbert Zwart +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors report high levels of AR chromatin binding heterogeneity in human primary prostate tumors, that overlap with heterogeneity observed in healthy prostate epithelium, which has functional consequences as somatic mutations converge on commonly-shared AR sites in primary over metastatic tissues.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-cell transcriptomics in bone marrow delineates CD56dimGranzymeK+ subset as intermediate stage in NK cell differentiation
Janine E. Melsen,Monique M. van Ostaijen-ten Dam,Dorenda J. A. Schoorl,Pieter J Schol,Daphne A. L. van den Homberg,Arjan C. Lankester,Gertjan Lugthart,Marco W. Schilham +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors performed single-cell RNA sequencing combined with oligonucleotide-conjugated antibodies against CD56, CXCR6, CD117 and CD34 on fresh bone marrow NK cells.
