Functional variant of MTOR rs2536 and survival of Chinese gastric cancer patients.

TL;DR: The MTOR rs2536 T > C change may be a biomarker for survival of Chinese GCa patients, likely by modulating microRNA‐induced gene expression silencing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Erratum: Circulating human papillomavirus DNA as a marker for disease extent and recurrence among patients with oropharyngeal cancer. (Cancer. (2015) 121 (3455-3464))

TL;DR: In the current study pretreatment serum HPV DNA did not appear to have clinical usefulness as a marker for disease recurrence for patients with OPC; however, larger studies with an increased power to detect significant associations are warranted.

Genetic variants in the metzincin metallopeptidase family genes predict melanoma survival

TL;DR: Four independent SNPs identified as predictors of CMSS revealed a decreased CMSS in a dose‐response manner as the number of risk genotypes increased, and it is suggested that these genetic variants may be promising prognostic biomarkers for CMSS.
