Precision Medicine in Assisted Conception: A Multicenter Observational Treatment Cohort Study of the Annexin A5 M2 Haplotype as a Biomarker for Antithrombotic Treatment to Improve Pregnancy Outcome.
Simon Fishel,Deborah Baker,Janine Elson,Maha Ragunath,Glenn Atkinson,Adel Shaker,Ahmed Omar,Rahnuma Kazem,Ashley Beccles,Ian A. Greer +9 more
TL;DR: Pragmatic ANXA5 M5 screening and treatment with LMWH in couples undergoing IVF is associated with similar outcome to couples with more favorable prognostic factors, and LMWH treatment should be started prior to clinical pregnancy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multicentre study of the clinical relevance of screening IVF patients for carrier status of the annexin A5 M2 haplotype.
Simon Fishel,Rashmi Patel,Alison Lytollis,Jeanette Robinson,Mary Smedley,Paula Smith,Craig Cameron,Simon Thornton,Ken Dowell,Glenn Atkinson,Adel Shaker,Philip R. Lowe,Rahnuma Kazem,Sandra Brett,Anna Fox +14 more
TL;DR: The incidence of carrier status for the M2 ANXA5 haplotype in both the male and female of couples attending five CARE IVF centres was assessed and it was demonstrated that couples with RPL had equal and significantly increased M2 carriership and that maternal and paternal carriership confers equal risk.
Journal ArticleDOI
Precision Medicine in Assisted Conception: A Multicenter Observational Treatment Cohort Study of the Annexin A5 M2 Haplotype as a Biomarker for Antithrombotic Treatment to Improve Pregnancy Outcome
Simon Fishel,Deborah Baker,Janine Elson,Maha Ragunath,Glenn Atkinson,Adel Shaker,Ahmed Omar,Rahnuma Kazem,Ashley Beccles,Ian A. Greer +9 more
TL;DR: The inconsistent effectiveness of low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) treatment in trials may be lack of stratification as result of inclusion of heterogeneous disease mechanisms rather than focusing on procoagulant mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of frozen embryo transfer regimen on the association between serum progesterone and live birth: a multicentre prospective cohort study (ProFET)
Pedro Melo,Simon Wood,G. Petsas,Yealin Chung,Christina Easter,Malcolm J Price,Simon Fishel,Mohammed Khairy,Charles R. Kingsland,Philip Jm Lowe,Madhurima Rajkhowa,V Sephton,Shilpi Pandey,Rahnuma Kazem,David Walker,Julija Gorodeckaja,M Wilcox,Ioannis D. Gallos,A. Tozer,Arri Coomarasamy +19 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the association between serum progesterone levels on the day of frozen embryo transfer (FET) and the probability of live birth in women undergoing different FET regimens.
Journal ArticleDOI
