Journal ArticleDOI

The t tauri phase down to nearly planetary masses : Echelle spectra of 82 very low mass stars and brown dwarfs

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the largest high-resolution spectroscopic sample to date of young, very low mass stars and brown dwarfs, and investigated disk accretion in objects ranging from just above the hydrogen-burning limit all the way to nearly planetary masses.
Journal ArticleDOI

UBVRI Light Curves of 44 Type Ia Supernovae

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present UBVRI photometry of 44 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) observed from 1997 to 2001 as part of a continuing monitoring campaign at the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Gemini Deep Planet Survey -- GDPS

TL;DR: The results of the Gemini Deep Planet Survey as mentioned in this paper were obtained with the Altair adaptive optics system at the Gemini North telescope and angular differential imaging was used to suppress the speckle noise of the central star.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopy of Very Low Mass Stars and Brown Dwarfs in IC 2391: Lithium Depletion and Hα Emission

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors obtained intermediate-resolution optical spectroscopy of 44 candidate very low mass members of the nearby young open cluster IC 2391, including CTIO-160 (M7), which was shown to satisfy all criteria for being a substellar member of the cluster, including detection of the Li 6708 A doublet.
