UBVRI Light Curves of 44 Type Ia Supernovae

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present UBVRI photometry of 44 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) observed from 1997 to 2001 as part of a continuing monitoring campaign at the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for gravitational wave ringdowns from perturbed intermediate mass black holes in LIGO-Virgo data from 2005-2010

J. Aasi, +865 more
- 27 May 2014 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported an upper bound on the coalescence rate of binary IMBH mergers with non-spinning and equal mass components of either 1:1 or 4:1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Power Law Decays in the Optical Counterparts of GRB 970228 and GRB970508

TL;DR: In this paper, the decay of the optical counterpart to GRB 970508 with the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory (FLWO) 1.2m telescope was investigated and it was shown that the decay can be well fitted by a power law of the form f ~ t**-alpha where alpha = 1.22 +/- 0.03 with occasional fluctuations superposed.
