Chitin and its derivatives: Structural properties and biomedical applications

TL;DR: The structural properties of chitin, and its derivatives are presented and their biomedical implications including, tissue engineering, drug delivery, diagnosis, molecular imaging, antimicrobial activity, and wound healing are highlighted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functionalized Molybdenum Disulfide Nanosheets for 0D–2D Hybrid Nanostructures: Photoinduced Charge Transfer and Enhanced Photoresponse

TL;DR: Oleylamine- and dodecanethiol-assisted exfoliation of MoS2 NSs in nonpolar organic solvent 1,2-dichlorobenzene (DCB) enables high-concentration stable dispersion of free-standing mono- or few-layer NSs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functionalized MoS2 nanosheets assembled microfluidic immunosensor for highly sensitive detection of food pathogen

TL;DR: In this paper, cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) functionalized molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanosheets were used for conjugation of protein on the microfluidics electrode for Salmonella typhimurium detection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhanced near infrared luminescence in Ag@Ag2S core-shell nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, an Ag-Ag2S core-shell nano-structured particles were found to be luminescent in the near-infrared (NIR) range and the mechanism behind such behavior is predicted due to formation of composite layer of Ag2S-Ag both at the surface and the volume.
Journal ArticleDOI

Colloidal lead-free Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite nanocrystals: Synthesis, uniform thin-film fabrication, and application in solution-processed solar cells

TL;DR: In this paper, a facile strategy for the synthesis and purification of Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) that remained stable even after washing with polar solvent was reported.
