TL;DR: In this article, a mouse model of long-term (15 weeks) dietary fiber deficiency was used to mimic a sustained low fiber intake in humans, and it was found that FD mice showed impaired cognition, including deficits in object location memory, temporal order memory, and the ability to perform daily living activities.

The expression dynamics of transforming growth factor-β/Smad signaling in the liver fibrosis experimentally caused by Clonorchis sinensis

TL;DR: The results of the present study indicated for the first time that the activation of TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway might contribute to the synthesis of collagen type I which leads to liver fibrosis caused by C. sinensis.
