Sky reconstruction for the Tianlai cylinder array
Jiao Zhang,Shifan Zuo,Reza Ansari,Xuelei Chen,Yichao Li,Fengquan Wu,J.E. Campagne,Christophe Magneville +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a sky map reconstruction method for transit type interferometers is applied to the Tianlai cylinder array, which can be applied to a cylindrical array as well as dish arrays and can compute the instrument response, synthesized beam, transfer function and noise power spectrum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study of a Strategy for Parallax Microlensing Detection Towards the Magellanic Clouds
TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic search for parallax effects can be done using the currently running alert systems and complementary photometric telescopes, to distinguish between different lens distance distributions, with total optical depths corresponding to the EROS current upper limits.
Journal ArticleDOI
21cm Signal Recovery via the Robust Principle Component Analysis
TL;DR: This paper presents a new method based on the Robust Principal Component Analysis (RPCA) to subtract foreground and extract 21~cm signal, which explicitly uses both the low-rank property of the frequency covariance matrix (i.e. frequency coherence) of the foreground and the sparsity of the Frequency covariance Matrix of the 21 ~cm signal.
Journal ArticleDOI
The beat Cepheids in the Magellanic Clouds: an analysis from the EROS-2 database

Rich,Michel Spiro,Alfred Vidal-Madjar +45 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the EROS-2 survey of the Magellanic Clouds to detect and study the population of beat Cepheids (BCs) in both clouds.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Tianlai Cylinder Pathfinder Array: System Functions and Basic Performance Analysis
Jixia Li,Shifan Zuo,Fengquan Wu,Yougang Wang,Juyong Zhang,Shijie Sun,Yidong Xu,Zijie Yu,Reza Ansari,Yi-Chao Li,Albert Stebbins,Peter T. Timbie,Yanping Cong,Jingchao Geng,Jie Hao,Qizhi Huang,Jianbin Li,Rui Li,Donghao Liu,Yingfeng Liu,Tao Liu,John Marriner,Chenhui Niu,Ue-Li Pen,Jeffery B. Peterson,Huli Shi,Shu Lin,Song Yafang,Haijun Tian,Guisong Wang,Q.Z. Wang,Rongli Wang,Weixia Wang,Kaifeng Yu,Jiao Zhang,Boqin Zhu,Jialu Zhu,Xuelei Chen +37 more
TL;DR: The Tianlai Cylinder Pathfinder as discussed by the authors is a radio interferometer array designed to test techniques for 21 cm intensity mapping in the post-reionization Universe, with the ultimate aim of mapping the large scale structure and measuring cosmological parameters such as the dark energy equation of state.
