Journal ArticleDOI

piggyBac transposition reprograms fibroblasts to induced pluripotent stem cells

TL;DR: It is shown that the individual PB insertions can be removed from established iPS cell lines, providing an invaluable tool for discovery, and the traceless removal of reprogramming factors joined with viral 2A sequences delivered by a single transposon from murine iPS lines is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lin28 promotes the proliferative capacity of neural progenitor cells in brain development

TL;DR: The proliferation of neural progenitor cells is regulated by Lin28a/b via their interaction with Imp1 and their regulation of Igf2-mTOR signaling, which is attributed to the regulation of their mRNA targets that encode Igf1r and Hmga2.
