Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamics of exciton relaxation in LH2 antenna probed by multipulse nonlinear spectroscopy.

TL;DR: The bulk kinetics reflect a superposition of many pathways corresponding to different physical limits of energy transfer, varying from sub-20 fs relaxation between delocalized and highly spatially overlapping exciton states to >20 ps jumps between states localized at the opposite sides of the ring.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence for coherent mixing of excited and charge-transfer states in the major plant light-harvesting antenna, LHCII.

TL;DR: The identification and assignment of the coherences observed in the 2D frequency maps suggests that the structure of exciton states as well as a mixing of the excited and charge-transfer states is affected by coupling of these states to resonant vibrations in LHCII.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopic characterization of the low-light B800–850 light-harvesting complex of Rhodopseudomonas palustris, strain 2.1.6

TL;DR: The results are explained by the increased B800 pigment density in the low-light B800–850 complex, resulting in relatively strong bacteriochlorophyll (BChl) a -BChL a interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional Compartmental Modeling of the Photosystems in the Thylakoid Membrane at 77 K

TL;DR: The spectral and energetic properties of the red Chl pools in both photosystems are determined and the formation of LHCII-LHCI-PSI supercomplexes in the transition from native to unstacked thylakoid membranes is quantified.
