Journal ArticleDOI
Downstream processing of lignin derived feedstock into end products.
TL;DR: It is hoped this review will stimulate further advances in the sustainable production of value-added products from lignin to integrate this invaluable "bio-waste" into the chemical/materials supply chain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient base-catalyzed decomposition and in situ hydrogenolysis process for lignin depolymerization and char elimination
TL;DR: In this paper, a base-catalyzed depolymerization and in situ hydrogenolysis process for lignin decomposition and char elimination was proposed using the synergic catalyst of NaOH coordinated with Ru/C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Controllable production of guaiacols and phenols from lignin depolymerization using Pd/C catalyst cooperated with metal chloride
TL;DR: In this paper, an efficient lignin hydrogenolysis process with controllable product distribution was put forward using Pd/C catalyst cooperated with metal chloride, and the Lewis acidity was an important factor to determine the product distribution.
Journal ArticleDOI
A review on the catalytic hydrodeoxygenation of lignin-derived phenolic compounds and the conversion of raw lignin to hydrocarbon liquid fuels
TL;DR: In this article, a summary of the extensive study that has been devoted to the catalytic hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of lignin-derived phenolic compounds and the conversion of raw Lignin into hydrocarbon liquid fuels is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation on the structural effect of lignin during the hydrogenolysis process
Riyang Shu,Jinxing Long,Ying Xu,Longlong Ma,Qi Zhang,Tiejun Wang,Chenguang Wang,Zhengqiu Yuan,Qingyun Wu +8 more
TL;DR: Hydrogenolysis of three typical lignins with different structures was intensively compared over the synergistic catalyst of CrCl3 and Pd/C and showed that organosolv lignin was more sensitive for hydrogenolysis than others due to its high unsaturation degree and low molecular weight.
