Proceedings ArticleDOI

Color bimodality: Implications for galaxy evolution

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a sample of 69726 galaxies from the SDSS to study the variation of the bimodal colormagnitude (CM) distribution with environment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deep SOAR follow-up photometry of two Milky Way outer-halo companions discovered with Dark Energy Survey

TL;DR: In this article, the discovery of a new star cluster, DES3, in the constellation of Indus, and deeper observations of the previously identified satellite DES 0222.7−5217 (Eridanus III) were reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectrophotometric templates for core collapse supernovae and their application in simulations of time-domain surveys

TL;DR: In this article, a set of spectral time-series templates for both hydrogen-rich (type II, IIn, IIb) and stripped envelope (types Ib, Ic, Ic-BL) core collapse supernovae are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Discovery of a Close Pair of z = 4.25 Quasars from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the discovery of a pair of z = 4.25 quasars with a separation of 33 arcseconds, which they identified as a high-redshift quasar candidate from Sloan Digital Sky Survey multicolor imaging data, and the redshift was measured from a spectrum obtained with the Hobby-Eberly Telescope.
