The Phoenix stream: a cold stream in the Southern hemisphere

TL;DR: In this paper, the discovery of a stellar stream in the Dark Energy Survey (DES) Year 1 (Y1A1) data was made through simple color-magnitude filters and visual inspection of the Y 1A1 data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Superclustering at Redshift z = 0.54

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present strong evidence for the existence of a supercluster at a redshift of z = 054 in the direction of Selected Area 68 (SA68) from the distribution of galaxies with spectroscopic redshifts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photometric Supernova Cosmology with BEAMS and SDSS-II

TL;DR: The Bayesian Estimation applied to multiple species (BEAMS) algorithm as mentioned in this paper is a Bayesian framework for using data from multiple species in statistical inference when one has the probability that each data point belongs to a given species, corresponding in this context to different types of supernovae with their probabilities derived from their multi-band lightcurves.
