Journal Article
Robust tilt determination from Laser Guide Stars using a combination of different techniques.
TL;DR: In this paper, a combination of two techniques is proposed: the tri{static (Belen’kii 1995; Ragazzoni 1996a) and the auxiliary telescope (Ragazzoni, Esposito & Marchetti, 1995) congurations leading to a robust, whole sky coverage, approach is obtained.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Ingot Laser Guide Stars Wavefront Sensing
Roberto Ragazzoni,Elisa Portaluri,Valentina Viotto,Marco Dima,Maria Bergomi,Federico Biondi,Jacopo Farinato,Elena Carolo,Simonetta Chinellato,Davide Greggio,Marco Gullieuszik,Demetrio Magrin,Luca Marafatto,Daniele Vassallo +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors revisited one class of z-invariant wavefront sensor where the LGS is fired aside of the telescope aperture, in this way there is a spatial dependence on the focal plane with respect to the height where the resonant scattering occurs.
Journal ArticleDOI
LINC-NIRVANA: MCAO toward Extremely Large Telescopes

Behrend,Thomas Driebe,M. Heininger,Karl-Heinz Hofmann,E. Nußbaum,D. Schertel,Elena Masciadri +39 more
TL;DR: Gaessler et al. as mentioned in this paper introduced the MCAO system of LINC-NIRVANA in detail, which in a first step will be installed with two deformable mirrors per arm and has the provision to be upgraded with a third mirror.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
PYRAMIR: a near-infrared pyramid wavefront sensor for the Calar Alto adaptive optics system
Joana Buechler Costa,Stefan Hippler,Markus Feldt,Simone Esposito,Roberto Ragazzoni,Peter Bizenberger,Elena Puga,Thomas Henning +7 more
TL;DR: The Pyramid Wavefront Sensor (PYRAMIR) project as discussed by the authors uses a pyramid wavefront sensor working in the near IR, replacing the previous tip-tilt tracker arm.
