Journal ArticleDOI

V-Track: software for analysing and visualising animal movement from acoustic telemetry detections

TL;DR: V-Track is a package written within the R-programming language, and a graphical user interface is also provided, which provides software functionality for defining and quantifying behaviour in acoustically tagged marine and freshwater vertebrates.
Journal ArticleDOI

Shedding light on light: benefits of anthropogenic illumination to a nocturnally foraging shorebird.

TL;DR: It is argued that light emitted from an industrial complex improved nocturnal visibility, allowing sight-based foraging in place of tactile foraging, implying both a preference for sight-feeding and enhanced night-time foraging opportunities under these conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Integrating research using animal‐borne telemetry with the needs of conservation management

TL;DR: A framework is defined that distinguishes how research using animal telemetry devices can influence conservation and the use of value of information analysis is suggested to quantitatively assess the return-on-investment of animaltelemetry-derived data for conservation decision-making.
