Analytical light bullet solutions to the generalized (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation.

TL;DR: These solutions to the generalized (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with distributed coefficients are utilized to construct analytical light bullet soliton solutions of nonlinear optics.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Excitation of Extended Red Emission: New Constraints on Its Carrier from Hubble Space Telescope Observations of NGC 7023*

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the HST imaging capabilities to constrain the character of the ERE carrier further by determining the wavelengths of the radiation that initiates ERE, and they concluded that ERE excitation results from a two-step process, involving far-UV photons with E > 10.5 eV and optical pumping of the previously created carrier.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exact spatial soliton solutions of the two-dimensional generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation with distributed coefficients

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved homogeneous balance principle and an $F$expansion technique are used to construct exact periodic wave solutions to the generalized two-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation with distributed dispersion, nonlinearity, and gain coefficients.
Journal ArticleDOI

The excitation of extended red emission: new constraints on its carrier from hst observations of ngc 7023 1

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the imaging capabilities of the Hubble Space Telescope to constrain the character of the ERE carrier further by determining the wavelengths of the radiation that initia tes the extended red emission (ERE) in many dusty interstellar environments.
