Journal ArticleDOI
Antidiabetic effects of Artemisia sphaerocephala Krasch. gum, a novel food additive in China, on streptozotocin-induced type 2 diabetic rats.
TL;DR: Artemisia sphaerocephala Krasch.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mutagenesis induced by high hydrostatic pressure treatment: a useful method to improve the bacterial cellulose yield of a Gluconoacetobacter xylinus strain
TL;DR: HHP treatment can serve as an effective method to cause mutagenesis in BC-producing bacteria and strains with significantly higher BC yield than parental strain can be screened from the HHP-induced mutants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antioxidant effects of Artemis sphaerocephala Krasch. gum, on streptozotocin-induced type 2 diabetic rats
Xinzhong Hu,Xiaohui Xing,Zheng-Mao Zhang,Rui-Qin Wu,Qingbin Guo,Steve W. Cui,Steve W. Cui,Qi Wang +7 more
TL;DR: The results showed that a high-fat diet in combination with a low-dose Streptozotocin injection successfully induced type 2 diabetes among the experiment rats, and ASK gum markedly lessened the oxidative damage of kidney in the diabetic rats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Active-chlorine-mediated oxidation of 5-fluorouracil on a hierarchically ordered macroporous RuO2 electrode.
TL;DR: In this article , a hierarchically ordered macroporous RuO2 electrode (HOM-RuO2) was fabricated to enhance in situ active chlorine production in an electrochemical system intended for treatment of pharmaceutical active compounds (PhACs).
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrafast Dynamics of Fatty Acid Photodecarboxylase in Anionic Semiquinone State.
TL;DR: In this paper , anaerobically produced wild-type FAP in the FAD•-state and conducted femtosecond-resolved fluorescence and absorption measurements, showing the complexity of the energy landscapes of various excited states and rule out the occurrence of electron or proton transfer with nearby residue(s) in the active site.
