Journal ArticleDOI
Continuous aspiration prior to intracranial vascular embolectomy (CAPTIVE): a technique which improves outcomes.
Ryan A McTaggart,Eric L Tung,Eric L Tung,Shadi Yaghi,Shawna Cutting,Shawna Cutting,Morgan Hemendinger,Morgan Hemendinger,Heather I. Gale,Grayson L. Baird,Grayson L. Baird,Richard A. Haas,Richard A. Haas,Mahesh V Jayaraman,Mahesh V Jayaraman +14 more
TL;DR: The CAPTIVE embolectomy technique may result in higher recanalization rates and better clinical outcomes, as compared with the traditional group.
Journal ArticleDOI
Postischemic Cerebrovascular E-Selectin Expression Mediates Tissue Injury in Murine Stroke
Judy Huang,Tanvir F. Choudhri,Christopher J. Winfree,Ryan A McTaggart,Szilard Kiss,J. Mocco,Louis J. Kim,Themistocles S. Protopsaltis,Yuan Zhang,David J. Pinsky,E. Sander Connolly +10 more
TL;DR: A functional role for E-selectin is established in the pathogenesis of tissue injury after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion and E- selectin blockade may be clinically useful in the treatment of reperfused stroke.
Journal ArticleDOI
Developmental context determines latency of MYC-induced tumorigenesis.
Shelly Beer,Anders Zetterberg,Rebecca A. Ihrie,Ryan A McTaggart,Qiwei Yang,Nicole Bradon,Constadina Arvanitis,Laura D. Attardi,Sandy Feng,Boris H. Ruebner,Robert D. Cardiff,Dean W. Felsher +11 more
TL;DR: The tetracycline regulatory system is used to generate transgenic mice in which the expression of a c-MYC human transgene can be conditionally regulated in murine hepatocytes and it is found that apoptosis is not a barrier to MYC inducing tumorigenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laparoscopic Procurement of Kidneys with Multiple Renal Arteries is Associated with Increased Ureteral Complications in the Recipient
Jonathan T. Carter,Chris E. Freise,Ryan A McTaggart,Harish D. Mahanty,Sang-Mo Kang,Sharon Chan,Sandy Feng,John P. Roberts,Andrew M. Posselt +8 more
TL;DR: This study investigates the effect of renal artery multiplicity on donor and recipient outcomes after laparoscopic donor nephrectomy and study variables included operative times, blood loss, hospital stay, graft function and donor and recipients complications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Collateral Blood Flow on Patients Undergoing Endovascular Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke
Michael P. Marks,Maarten G Lansberg,Michael Mlynash,Jean-Marc Olivot,Matus Straka,Stephanie Kemp,Ryan A McTaggart,Manabu Inoue,Greg Zaharchuk,Roland Bammer,Gregory W. Albers +10 more
TL;DR: Collaterals correlate with baseline National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, perfusion-weighted imaging volume, and good reperfusion, however, target mismatch patients who reperfuse seem to have favorable outcomes at a similar rate, irrespective of the collateral score.
