Intermediate-energy semileptonic probes of the hadronic neutral current☆
M. J. Musolf,M. J. Musolf,T.W. Donnelly,J. Dubach,Steven J. Pollock,S. Kowalski,E. J. Beise,E. J. Beise +7 more
TL;DR: The present status and future prospects of intermediate energy semileptonic neutral current studies are reviewed in this article, with particular attention paid to probes of strangeness content in the nucleon.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement of the proton's neutral weak magnetic form-factor
B. Mueller,Douglas H Beck,E. J. Beise,E. Candell,Lawrence Cardman,R. Carr,R. C. DiBari,G. W. Dodson,K. A. Dow,F. Duncan,M. Farkhondeh,B. W. Filippone,T. A. Forest,Haiyan Gao,Wolfgang Korsch,S. Kowalski,A. Lung,R. D. McKeown,R. Mohring,J. Napolitano,D. Nilsson,Michael Pitt,N. Simicevic,B. Terburg,S. P. Wells +24 more
TL;DR: The first measurement of parity-violating asymmetry in elastic electron scattering from the proton was reported in this article, where the asymmetry depends on the neutral weak magnetic form factor of the Proton which contains new information on the contribution of strange quark-antiquark pairs to the magnetic moment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of Polarization Observables in Electron Scattering from the Proton and Deuteron
Brian D. Milbrath,Justin I. McIntyre,C. S. Armstrong,D.H. Barkhuff,William Bertozzi,J. P. Chen,D. S. Dale,G. W. Dodson,K. A. Dow,M. B. Epstein,M. Farkhondeh,John M. Finn,Shalev Gilad,M. K. Jones,K. Turchinetz,P. E. Ulmer,S.P. Van Verst,Glen A. Warren,Larry Weinstein,R. J. Woo +35 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the deuterium and hydrogen spin-dependent observables were measured under identical kinematic conditions and were in good agreement with each other and with the plane-wave impulse approximation (PWIA).
Journal ArticleDOI
Strange magnetism and the anapole structure of the proton
R. Hasty,A. M. Hawthorne-Allen,T. Averett,D. Barkhuff,Douglas H Beck,E. J. Beise,A. Blake,H. Breuer,R. Carr,S. Covrig,Areg Danagoulian,G. W. Dodson,K. A. Dow,M. Farkhondeh,B. W. Filippone,J. Gao,M. C. Herda,Takeyasu M. Ito,C. E. Jones,Wolfgang Korsch,K. Kramer,S. Kowalski,Pei Yun Lee,R. D. McKeown,B. Mueller,Michael Pitt,J. Ritter,J. Roche,V. Savu,D. T. Spayde,Raphael Noel Tieulent,Evgeni Tsentalovich,S. Wells,Bao Yang,T. Zwart +34 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the symmetry violation of mirror symmetry in the weak force provides a powerful tool to study the internal structure of the proton, which has important implications for precision weak interaction studies in atomic systems such as cesium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement of recoil proton polarizations in the electrodisintegration of deuterium by polarized electrons
D.H. Barkhuff,C. S. Armstrong,William Bertozzi,Jiahao Chen,D. S. Dale,G. W. Dodson,K. A. Dow,M. Epstein,M. Farkhondeh,J. M. Finn,Shalev Gilad,M. K. Jones,K. Joo,James J. Kelly,S. Kowalski,D. Liu,R.W. Tschalaer,W. Turchinetz,Paul Ulmer,S.P. Van Verst,S.P. Van Verst,C. Vellidis,Glen A. Warren,Larry Weinstein,R. J. Woo +39 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the spin polarization of ejectile protons in the electrodisintegration reaction d( e →,e′ p → )n was measured in quasielastic kinematics in order to test modern theories of two-nucleon bound and scattering states.
