Anisotropic magnetic, magnetoresistance, and electrotransport properties of GdBaCo 2 O 5.5 single crystals
Dmitry D. Khalyavin,Sergei N. Barilo,S. V. Shiryaev,G. L. Bychkov,I. O. Troyanchuk,Albert Furrer,P. Allenspach,H. Szymczak,R. Szymczak +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the spontaneous magnetoresistance effect connected closely with a spontaneous magnetization appearance shows a strong anisotropic behavior consistent with the anisotropy of magnetic properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrical and magnetic properties of YBaCo4O7+δ
TL;DR: In this paper, a thermal analysis of the yttrium-barium cobaltite phase, recently reported as YBaCo4O7, showed a higher oxygen content at temperatures below 1000 K.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spin-state order/disorder and metal–insulator transition in GdBaCo2O5.5: experimental determination of the underlying electronic structure
Zhiwei Hu,Hua Wu,Hua Wu,T. C. Koethe,S. N. Barilo,S. V. Shiryaev,G. L. Bychkov,Christian Schüßler-Langeheine,Thomas Lorenz,Arata Tanaka,H. H. Hsieh,H.J. Lin,C. T. Chen,N. B. Brookes,Stefano Agrestini,Yi Ying Chin,M. Rotter,Liu Hao Tjeng +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic structure of GdBaCo2O5.5 was investigated using soft x-ray absorption and photo-electron spectroscopy and it was found that half of the Co3+ ions at the octahedral sites are in the low spin (LS) and the other half in the high spin (HS) state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic excitations in the geometric frustrated multiferroic CuCrO 2
Matthias Frontzek,Jason T. Haraldsen,Jason T. Haraldsen,Andrey Podlesnyak,Masaaki Matsuda,Andrew D. Christianson,Randy Scott Fishman,Athena S. Sefat,Yiming Qiu,Yiming Qiu,John R. D. Copley,S. N. Barilo,S. V. Shiryaev,Georg Ehlers +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, detailed neutron scattering measurements of the magnetic excitation spectrum of CuCrO$ in the ordered state below 24.2$ K are presented, and the spectra are analyzed using a model Hamiltonian which includes intralayer exchange up to the next-next-nearest neighbor and interlayer exchange.
Journal ArticleDOI
Giant phonon anomalies in the bond-stretching modes in doped BaBiO3: comparison to cuprates manganites and nickelates
TL;DR: In this paper, inelastic neutron scattering measurements on the phonon dispersion in Pb-and K-doped BaBiO 3 were performed and it was shown that the highest longitudinal branch of bond-stretching character exhibits a pronounced bending down and a loss of intensity towards the half-breathing mode at the (0.5-0-0)-zone boundary.
