Journal ArticleDOI
Novel enaminone derived from thieno [2,3-b] thiene: Synthesis, x-ray crystal structure, HOMO, LUMO, NBO analyses and biological activity
Yahia N. Mabkhot,Fahad D Aldawsari,Fahad D Aldawsari,Salem S. Al-Showiman,Assem Barakat,Assem Barakat,Saied M. Soliman,Saied M. Soliman,M. Iqbal Choudhary,M. Iqbal Choudhary,Sammer Yousuf,Mohammad S. Mubarak,Taibi Ben Hadda +12 more
TL;DR: Theoretical quantum chemical calculations have been performed on the studied compound using the DFT B3LYP/6-311G (d, p) method and the geometric parameters of the optimized structure are in good agreement with the experimental data obtained from the reported X-ray structure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antimicrobial activity of thiophene derivatives derived from ethyl (E)-5-(3-(dimethylamino)acryloyl)-4-methyl-2-(phenylamino)thiophene-3-carboxylate
Yahia N. Mabkhot,Nahed Ahmed Kaal,Seham Alterary,Salem S. Al-Showiman,Thoraya A. Farghaly,Thoraya A. Farghaly,Mohammad S. Mubarak +6 more
TL;DR: The results of antimicrobial activity of the prepared compounds revealed that changing the substituents at position-2 of thiophene ring significantly affect their biological activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
A facile synthesis and characterization of some new thiophene based heterocycles
Yahia N. Mabkhot,Fatima Alatibi,Nahed N. E. El-Sayed,Salem S. Al-Showiman,Nabila A. Kheder,Nabila A. Kheder,Hazem A. Ghabbour,Hazem A. Ghabbour +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of pyrazole, pyridazine and pyridine derivatives containing thiophene ring has been carried out by simple, efficient and good yielding routes starting from the versatile and readily accessible ethyl 5-acetyl-4-phenyl- 2-(phenylamino)thiophene-3-carboxylate (1).
Journal ArticleDOI
3,4-Di-methyl-thieno[2,3-b]thio-phene-2,5-dicarbo-nitrile.
Yahia N. Mabkhot,Salem S. Al-Showiman,Assem Barakat,Assem Barakat,Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary,Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary,S. Yousuf +6 more
TL;DR: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C10H6N2S2, contains two crystallographically independent but conformationally similar molecules that are almost planar with the fused thiophene ring cores.
