Journal ArticleDOI
Study on the effect of post weld heat treatment parameters on the relaxation of welding residual stresses in electron beam welded P91 steel plates
TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical thermo-elastic-plastic model has been developed to simulate the welding of 9Cr-1Mo (Grade 91) steel in the form of plates welded together using a high intensity electron beam.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scratch behavior of aluminum anodized in oxalic acid: Effect of anodizing potential
TL;DR: In this paper, commercial purity aluminum sheets were anodized at 10-30 V in 10% oxalic acid solution at room temperature and tested for its resistance against scratch damage using a microscratch adhesion tester operated in the progressive mode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Residual stresses in laser welded ASTM A387 Grade 91 steel plates
Santosh Kumar,Amrita Kundu,Kiranmayi Abburi Venkata,Anthony G. Evans,Christopher E Truman,John Francis,Karanam Bhanumurthy,P. J. Bouchard,Gautam Kumar Dey +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, residual stresses in 9mm thick ASTM A387 grade 91 steel plates, joined using constant power (8kW) low and high heat input laser welding processes, are characterised using neutron diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermo-metallurgical and thermo-mechanical computations for laser welded joint in 9Cr–1Mo(V, Nb) ferritic/martensitic steel
TL;DR: In this article, a finite element-based welding and heat treatment simulation solution package is used to simulate the laser welding process on the 3D solid model using finite element based simulation solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Welding of Mo-Based Alloy Using Electron Beam and Laser-GTAW Hybrid Welding Techniques
TL;DR: In this article, welding of TZM (molybdenum-based alloy) plates in square-butt configuration was carried out using electron beam and laser-GTAW hybrid power sources.
