Journal ArticleDOI

Human CD141(+) (BDCA-3)(+) dendritic cells (DCs) represent a unique myeloid DC subset that cross-presents necrotic cell antigens

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report the first detailed functional analysis of the human CD141+ DC subset, which is found in human lymph nodes, bone marrow, tonsil, and blood, and the latter proved to be the best source of highly purified cells for functional analysis.
Book ChapterDOI

Isolation of Human Blood DC Subtypes

TL;DR: Human blood dendritic cells are a rare, heterogeneous cell population that comprise approximately 1% of circulating peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and their isolation has been confounded by their scarcity and lack of distinguishing markers.
Journal ArticleDOI

NK cells enhance the induction of CTL responses by IL-15 monocyte-derived dendritic cells

TL;DR: Data implicate a role for small percentages of NK cells in the enhanced capacity of IL‐15 MoDC to induce tumour‐specific CTL independent ofIL‐12p70, and suggest these cells are promising candidates for DC immunotherapy.
