Developmental Outcome and Related Abnormalities in Goats: Comparison Between Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer- and In Vivo-Derived Concepti During Pregnancy Through Term
L. T. Martins,Saul Gaudencio Neto,Kaio César Simiano Tavares,Carlos Enrique Méndez Calderón,L. H. Aguiar,Cicera R. Lazzarotto,Felipe Ledur Ongaratto,V. H. V. Rodrigues,I. S. Carneiro,Rafael Rossetto,A. P. Almeida,César Carneiro Linhares Fernandes,Davide Rondina,Ana Christina de Oliveira Dias,Jocelei Maria Chies,Irina A. Polejaeva,José Luiz Rodrigues,Fabiana Forell,Luciana Relly Bertolini,Marcelo Bertolini +19 more
TL;DR: Overall, goat cloning showed losses and abnormality patterns similar to the AOS in cloned cattle and sheep, which have not been previously well recognized in goats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transient Expression of Functional Glucocerebrosidase for Treatment of Gaucher's Disease in the Goat Mammary Gland.
Kaio César Simiano Tavares,Ana Christina de Oliveira Dias,Cicera R. Lazzarotto,Saul Gaudencio Neto,I. S. Carneiro,Felipe Ledur Ongaratto,Antonio Pinto,L. H. Aguiar,Carlos Enrique Méndez Calderón,Jorge R. Toledo,Fidel Ovidio Castro,Diógenes Santiago Santos,Jocelei Maria Chies,Marcelo Bertolini,Marcelo Bertolini,Luciana Relly Bertolini,Luciana Relly Bertolini +16 more
TL;DR: Results from this study paves the way toward the generation of transgenic goats constitutively expressing hGCase in the milk, which could facilitate its delivery to macrophages through the macrophage mannose receptor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of a recombinant bacterial L-asparaginase in human cells.
Raquel Caminha Dantas,Ludmilla Freire Caetano,Ariany Lima Sousa Torres,Matheus Soares Alves,Emanuelly Thays Muniz Figueiredo Silva,Louhanna Pinheiro Rodrigues Teixeira,Daniel Câmara Teixeira,Renato de Azevedo Moreira,Marcela Helena Gambim Fonseca,Saul Gaudencio Neto,L. T. Martins,Gilvan Pessoa Furtado,Kaio César Simiano Tavares +12 more
TL;DR: Given that glycosylation can act to reduce antigenicity by masking protein epitopes, the data may contribute to the development of an alternative ASNase in the treatment of ALL in patients who demonstrate side effects to currently marketed enzymes.
Journal Article
Produção de proteínas terapêuticas recombinantes em animais geneticamente modificados: o surgimento de uma nova era
L. T. Martins,Kaio César Simiano Tavares,Louhanna Pinheiro Rodrigues Teixeira,Francisco Eder de Moura Lopes,Saul Gaudencio Neto,Carlos Enrique Méndez Calderón,L. H. Aguiar,I. S. Carneiro,Cicera R. Lazzarotto,Marcelo Bertolini,Luciana Relly Bertolini +10 more
Journal Article
In vitro development and cell allocation after aggregation of syngeneic wild type and fluorescence-expressing bovine cloned embryos
F. K. Vieira,Fabiana Forell,R. P. C. Gerger,L. H. Aguiar,Cristiano Feltrin,Saul Gaudencio Neto,Carlos Enrique Méndez Calderón,I. S. Carneiro,Fabiana Fernandes Bressan,Monica Urio,Ubirajara Maciel da Costa,Luciana Relly Bertolini,Flávio Vieira Meirelles,Marcelo Bertolini +13 more
TL;DR: The use of GFP-expressing cells was proven a promising strategy for the study of cell allocation during embryo development, which may assist in the elucidation of mechanisms of abnormalities after in vitro embryo manipulations, leading to the development of improved protocols for the in vitro production of bovine embryos.
