Journal ArticleDOI
Binding of 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) to AT regions of DNA: evidence for an allosteric conformational change.
TL;DR: Spectroscopic results indicate a change of DNA conformation, consistent with an allosteric binding model, but they do not explicitly require any cooperativity, but accidental neighbors could also explain the data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Binding Mode of [Ruthenium(II) (1,10-Phenanthroline)2L]2+ with Poly(dT*dA-dT) Triplex. Ligand Size Effect on Third-Strand Stabilization†
TL;DR: Analysis of the linear dichroism spectra indicates that the extended DPPZ and BDPPZ ligands lie approximately parallel to the base-pair and base-triplet planes consistent with intercalation which is supported by strong hypochromism in the interligand absorption bands with either duplex or triplex.
Journal ArticleDOI
Right-handed triplex formed between peptide nucleic acid PNA-T8 and poly(dA) shown by linear and circular dichroism spectroscopy
TL;DR: Circular dichroism spectra support the conclusion that a triplex is formed as the only PNA-DNA complex and that it is a right-handed helix.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solvent-to-Polymer Chirality Transfer in Intramolecular Stack Structure
Daehoon Lee,Young-Jae Jin,Hyo-Jin Kim,Nozomu Suzuki,Michiya Fujiki,Toshikazu Sakaguchi,Seog K. Kim,Wang-Eun Lee,Giseop Kwak +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, solvent chirality transfer was examined using conjugated polymer with intramolecular stack structure (IaSS), and it was shown that axial chirability was significantly affected by the chain length and substitution position of the side alkyl groups.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fabrication of ZnO, ZnS, Ag-ZnS, and Au-ZnS microspheres for photocatalytic activities, CO oxidation and 2-hydroxyterephthalic acid synthesis
Young In Choi,Seungwon Lee,Seog K. Kim,Young-Il Kim,Dae Won Cho,Mohammad Mansoob Khan,Youngku Sohn +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of ZnS microspheres with cubic and hexagonal crystal phases using a solvothermal method was reported. But the effects of Au and Ag-doping on these materials were also examined.
