Journal ArticleDOI
Automated assessment of ovarian follicles using a novel three-dimensional ultrasound software.
T.D. Deutch,Iris Joergner,David O. Matson,David O. Matson,Sergio Oehninger,Silvina Bocca,Dieter Hoenigmann,Alfred Abuhamad +7 more
TL;DR: The SonoAVC proved to be a very accurate and efficient way to measure ovarian follicles and correlated extremely well with the manual measurements the authors obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI
In Vivo Effect of Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) and an Anti-LIF Polyclonal Antibody on Murine Embryo and Fetal Development Following Exposure at the Time of Transcervical Blastocyst Transfer
TL;DR: A novel and successful nonsurgical method of embryo transfer for this species, a transcervical blastocyst transfer technique, and an anti-LIF polyclonal antibody (pab) on in vivo development are developed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Is hysteroscopic correction of an incomplete uterine septum justified prior to IVF
TL;DR: A similar pregnancy outcome was found after the incision of the incomplete septum compared with a group with normal uterine cavity, and larger prospective and randomized controlled studies are needed to prove the positive effect of correction of an incomplete uterine sePTum on IVF outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Large, comparative, randomized double-blind trial confirming noninferiority of pregnancy rates for corifollitropin alfa compared with recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone in a gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonist controlled ovarian stimulation protocol in older patients undergoing in vitro fertilization.
Robert Boostanfar,Bruce S. Shapiro,Michael J. Levy,Zev Rosenwaks,Han Witjes,Barbara J. Stegmann,Jolanda Elbers,Keith Gordon,Bernadette Mannaerts,Larry I. Barmat,S. Bayer,R. Boostanfar,S. Carson,J. Werlin,Lynn M. Westphal,W. Yee,T. Yeko +43 more
TL;DR: Treatment with corifollitropin alfa was proven noninferior to daily recombinant FSH with respect to vital PRs, number of oocytes retrieved, and live birth rates, and was generally well tolerated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular basis of human sperm-zona pellucida interaction.
TL;DR: The hypothesis that, in the human, sperm binding to the zona pellucida requires a ‘selectin-like’ interaction is proposed and results suggest a possible convergence in the types of carbohydrate sequences recognized during initial human gamete binding and immune/inflammatory cell interactions.
