Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular immune pathogenesis and diagnosis of COVID-19.
Xiaowei Li,Xiaowei Li,Manman Geng,Manman Geng,Yizhao Peng,Yizhao Peng,Liesu Meng,Liesu Meng,Shemin Lu,Shemin Lu +9 more
TL;DR: A brief introduction of the general features of SARS-CoV-2 is provided and current knowledge of molecular immune pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 is discussed, which may be helpful in offering novel insights and potential therapeutic targets for combating the SARS/MERS/CoV infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Positional identification of Ncf1 as a gene that regulates arthritis severity in rats.
TL;DR: It is found that a naturally occurring polymorphism of Ncf1 (encoding neutrophil cytosolic factor 1, a component of the NADPH oxidase complex) regulates arthritis severity and is associated with a new autoimmune mechanism leading to severe destructive arthritis, notably similar to rheumatoid arthritis in humans.
Journal ArticleDOI
Arthritis induced in rats with non-immunogenic adjuvants as models for rheumatoid arthritis
Rikard Holmdahl,Johnny C. Lorentzen,Johnny C. Lorentzen,Shemin Lu,Peter Olofsson,Lena Wester,Jens Holmberg,Ulf Pettersson +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a disease-oriented genetic approach to unravel the mechanisms behind adjuvant-induced rheumatoid arthritis in rats, and found several loci that control onset of arthritis, severity and chronicity of the disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reduced apoptosis correlates with enhanced autophagy in synovial tissues of rheumatoid arthritis
TL;DR: The impaired apoptosis in RA synovium might result from increased autophagy, which in turn could be due to the deregulation of miRNA-30a.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel long noncoding RNA Lnc-HC binds hnRNPA2B1 to regulate expressions of Cyp7a1 and Abca1 in hepatocytic cholesterol metabolism.
Xi Lan,Jidong Yan,Jidong Yan,Juan Ren,Bo Zhong,Jing Li,Jing Li,Yue Li,Yue Li,Li Liu,Li Liu,Jing Yi,Jing Yi,Qingzhu Sun,Qingzhu Sun,Xudong Yang,Xudong Yang,Jian Sun,Jian Sun,Liesu Meng,Liesu Meng,Wenhua Zhu,Wenhua Zhu,Rikard Holmdahl,Dongmin Li,Dongmin Li,Shemin Lu,Shemin Lu +27 more
TL;DR: A novel lncRNA named lnc‐HC negatively regulating cholesterol metabolism within hepatocytes through physical interaction with hnRNPA2B1 and is defined as a novel line of evidence by which lncRNAs modulate the metabolic system at the post‐transcriptional level.
