Journal ArticleDOI
Electrical properties of polyacetylene/polysiloxane interface
TL;DR: In this article, the I•V and C•V measurements were used to explore the polyacetylene/polysiloxane interface electrical properties and the electrical conduction mechanism in this interface was found to be a Schottky-Richardson mechanism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low loss poly(methylmethacrylate‐d8) core optical fibers
TL;DR: In this paper, a poly(methylmethacrylate-d8) core and fluorinated alkyl meth-rylate copolymer cladding with attenuation losses of 20, 25, and 50 dB/km at wavelengths of 660, 780, and 850 nm, respectively, were obtained using the POF fabrication method which incorporates a closed polymerization and fiber drawing procedure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-loss plastic optical fibers
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-loss polystyrene core-optical fibers
TL;DR: In this article, a low-loss plastic optical fiber (POF) with attenuation loss of 114 dB/km at the wavelength of 670 nm employing polystylene core and ethylenevinylacetate copolymer cladding is presented.

Fabrication of a low-loss plastic optical fiber
TL;DR: In this article, a sealed system with a polymerization initiator and a chain transfer agent are added to a methyl methacrylate monomer distilled under reduced pressure condition via a distillation step of the former both ingredients, then the resulting core polymer is subjected to melt spinning to form a core fiber while maintaining the sealed system, and a clad of a macromolecular compound having a refractive index lower than that of the aforesaid core fiber is adhered around the periphery thereof.
