The Australia Telescope Compact Array Broadband Backend (CABB)
Warwick Wilson,R. H. Ferris,P. Axtens,A. Brown,E. Davis,Grant Hampson,M. Leach,Paul Roberts,S. Saunders,B. S. Koribalski,J. L. Caswell,Emil Lenc,Jamie Stevens,Maxim Voronkov,Mark H. Wieringa,Kate J. Brooks,Philip G. Edwards,Ron Ekers,B. Emonts,Luke Hindson,Luke Hindson,Simon Johnston,Sarah T. Maddison,Elizabeth K. Mahony,Elizabeth K. Mahony,Siddharth Malu,Marcella Massardi,Minnie Mao,Minnie Mao,David McConnell,Ray P. Norris,Dominic Schnitzeler,Ravi Subrahmanyan,James Urquhart,Mark Thompson,R. M. Wark +35 more
TL;DR: The Compact Array Broadband Backend (CABB) as discussed by the authors is an extension of the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) with 16-fold increase in observing bandwidth, from 2 x 128 MHz to 2 x 2048 MHz, high bit sampling, and addition of 16 zoom windows (each divided into a further 2048 channels) provide major improvements for all ATCA observations.

Mahony,Siddharth Malu,Marcella Massardi,Minnie Mao,Minnie Mao,David McConnell,Ray P. Norris,Dominic Schnitzeler,Ravi Subrahmanyan,James Urquhart,Mark Thompson,R. M. Wark +35 more
TL;DR: The Compact Array Broadband Backend (CABB) as mentioned in this paper has been used to improve the performance of the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) with a 16-fold increase in observing bandwidth, from 2 в 128 to 2 ǫ 2048 MHz.

The Einstein polarization interferometer for cosmology (EPIC) and the millimeter-wave bolometric interferometer (MBI)
Peter T. Timbie,Gregory S. Tucker,Peter A. R. Ade,S. Ali,Evan M. Bierman,Emory F. Bunn,C. Calderon,A. Gault,Peter Hyland,Brian Keating,J Kim,Andrei Korotkov,Siddharth Malu,Philip Daniel Mauskopf,J. A. Murphy,Créidhe O'Sullivan,Lucio Piccirillo,Benjamin D. Wandelt +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide an overview of a mission concept study underway for the EIP and investigate the advantages and tradeoffs of using an interferometer (EPIC) for the mission.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clusters of galaxies and the cosmic web with SKA
Ruta Kale,K. S. Dwarakanath,Joydeep Bagchi,Abhirup Datta,M. Pandey-Pommier,Surajit Paul,Viral Parekh,Prateek Sharma,Siddharth Malu,Dharam V. Lal +9 more
TL;DR: The Square Kilometer Array (SKA) is a next generation radio telescope that will operate in the frequency range of 005 - 20 GHz with unprecedented sensitivities and resolutions as discussed by the authors.

Compact Sunyaev-Zeldovich `hole' in the Bullet Cluster
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the discovery of a compact Sunyaev-Zel'dovich Effect (SZE) ''hole'' in the galaxy cluster, which does not correspond to any bright feature in X-ray, optical or lensing maps; in general, the relatively deeper SZE features appear to avoid the regions with the most intense Xray emission.
