Journal ArticleDOI

Formation and Removal of α-Synuclein Aggregates in Cells Exposed to Mitochondrial Inhibitors

TL;DR: Results suggest that the formation of α-synuclein inclusions could be initiated by an impaired mitochondrial function and be reversed by restoring normal mitochondrial metabolism, and partially inhibited by proteasome inhibitors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biological Imaging of HEK293 Cells Expressing PLCγ1 Using Surface-Enhanced Raman Microscopy

TL;DR: The results demonstrate the potential feasibility of SERS imaging technology for the highly sensitive imaging of cancer biomarkers in live cells and develop the procedures to label live cells with bimetallic nanoprobes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Curcumin down-regulates the multidrug-resistance mdr1b gene by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt/NF kappa B pathway.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that curcumin down-regulates P- gp expression in multidrug-resistant L1210/Adr cells and can contribute to the reversal of the MDR phenotype, probably due to the suppression of P-gp expression via the inhibition of the PI3K/Akt/NF-kappa B signaling pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering imaging of HER2 cancer markers overexpressed in single MCF7 cells using antibody conjugated hollow gold nanospheres.

TL;DR: The results demonstrate the potential feasibility of HGNs as highly sensitive and homogeneous sensing probes for biological imaging of cancer markers in live cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

SERS imaging of HER2-overexpressed MCF7 cells using antibody-conjugated gold nanorods

TL;DR: The experimental results demonstrate the potential feasibility of antibody-conjugated GNRs for the highly sensitive targeting and imaging of biomarkers expressed on the surface membrane of cancer cells.
